Connect ChatGPT to The WOW™ Writing Studio™

The WOW™ Writing Studio™ publishes a protected MCP server so ChatGPT can call approved Studio tools on your behalf. This page walks you through adding the connector and approving OAuth access.

Before you begin

  • A ChatGPT plan that supports custom MCP connectors (currently ChatGPT Pro, Business, or Enterprise).
  • A The WOW™ Writing Studio™ account. If you don't have one yet, sign in or sign up.
  • Use the published URL above — not a preview URL.

Step 1 — Add the connector in ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings Connectors (this may appear under Beta features depending on your plan).
  2. Click Add connector (or Create custom MCP server).
  3. Give it a name — for example, The WOW™ Writing Studio™.
  4. Paste the MCP Server URL from the box above.
  5. Leave authentication set to OAuth. ChatGPT auto-detects this from the server. You do not need to paste a client ID or secret — the Studio supports dynamic client registration.
  6. Save the connector.

Step 2 — Approve OAuth access

After you save, ChatGPT opens a browser window pointed at The WOW™ Writing Studio™'s authorization endpoint.

  1. Sign in with the same account you use for the Studio (email/password or Google — whichever you normally use). If you're already signed in on that browser, this step is skipped.
  2. You'll land on the Studio's consent page titled "Connect ChatGPT to The WOW™ Writing Studio™". Review the requested access.
  3. Click Approve. The window redirects back to ChatGPT and closes automatically.
  4. Back in ChatGPT, the connector should now show as connected.

Step 3 — Verify it works

  1. Start a new chat in ChatGPT.
  2. Enable the The WOW™ Writing Studio™ connector for that chat.
  3. Try a prompt such as "List my Studio documents" or "Search the WOW framework library for FATS".

What ChatGPT can do

ChatGPT can call exactly five approved tools. It acts as you — the Studio's edition limits, ownership rules, and access policies still apply.

  • List my Studio documents
Returns metadata (title, type, folder, timestamps) for your documents. Never returns document content.
  • Read one of my Studio documents
Retrieves the full content of a single document you own, by id.
  • List available Studio features
Reports which Studio features are unlocked under your current edition.
  • Search the WOW™ framework library
Looks up published frameworks by keyword. Returns metadata and summary only — never full proprietary framework content.
  • Create a new Reflection or Journal draft
Saves a new draft in your Studio. Requires a Limited or Pro Edition — Free Edition is read-only, so this tool will decline for Free accounts.

Troubleshooting

Privacy & control

ChatGPT acts as your signed-in Studio user — it cannot bypass edition limits, ownership checks, or backend policies. Your Studio content is never used to train AI systems. See AI Use and Data Ownership for details.
